My-father-in law, Den, has been running a small restaurant i. Victoria Mei is a wonderful narrator. I enjoy any book that is narrated by her. This is a well written story about the inner workings of the Yakuza and the rise of a woman to power in a traditionally male dominated world. The romance in the story is slow burn/minimal. This book is really setting the scene for whats to come.

      The Yakuza is among the many organized crime syndicates in the world. They’re as popular as the likes of the Sicilian Mafia, the Triad, and the Los Zetas. But while they’re into loathsome things, we can all agree that the Japanese group also cares so much about tradition and culture. In fact, they heavily show this in the form of body art.   This book turned out to be very informative on the subject oforganized crime in author has researched his subject matter as well as conducted interviews to give you the inside story on the underworld in author gives you the wholestory on the crime enterprises that the Yakuza are involved in in are also given the identities of some 5/5(5).
